Australian doctor-led telehealth

Online consultation for radiology and imaging referrals

A medical doctor can assess whether an X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI or other imaging test is clinically indicated. A referral is not guaranteed and some concerns require examination first.

Suitability

When an online consultation may help

May be suitable

  • Reviewing symptoms that may warrant diagnostic imaging
  • Discussing a previously recommended imaging test
  • Planning the appropriate next step after history review

Telehealth may not be enough

  • Major trauma, severe chest or abdominal pain, stroke symptoms or another emergency
  • A concern that needs hands-on examination before imaging can be selected
  • Requests for imaging without sufficient clinical information

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I request a particular scan?

You can discuss it, but the doctor determines whether imaging is clinically indicated and which modality is appropriate.

Is the imaging itself included?

No. EUCA MD provides the consultation and, when appropriate, a referral. The imaging provider sets its own availability, eligibility and fees.
